Trans-Siberian Orchestra Concert
Submitted by robogeek on Sun, 2007-11-04 23:50.I just got back from the Trans-Siberian Orchestra Concert. It was awesome, they had cool 'lazer beams' as well as computer controlled Colored flames that fired on beat.
My wife has challenged me to have lasers next year in my show, DMX here we come.
The first half of the concert was starting to get long since they did all their non instrumental songs we don't particularly enjoy. Although, when they got to the second half and turned up the volume to 112 and started doing stuff from the "Bethoven's last Night" album it was great.
At one point they said the following things:
- How many of you are good with computers?
- Lots of Cheering
- How many of you saw the guy who did the Christmas lights in Ohio?
- Not so much cheering... in fact not a lot at all (I cheered)
- How many of you want to see what 75 of our stage engineers can do when they put their mind to it?
- A whole bunch of cheering... most of the arena
Later that night my wife said my lights were better than the stage show.... Thanks wiffie, I love ya.
And with that its time to take advil and go to bed.
Night

Starting up for the Season
Submitted by robogeek on Wed, 2007-08-22 17:55.Today I am getting back into the Christmas lighting mood and starting to think about what will be going on this year for the display. Here is a list of what's going to happen this year.
- No new lights will be added this year... Yes, Yes, You might have wanted this. There is just no money to put into it.
- There will be plenty of new songs sequenced.
- There will be "Themed" Nights or Hours...
- Why? Some people like TSO, Some people Don't.
- How? if it goes by hour then lets take an example day.
Technical Difficulties
Submitted by robogeek on Tue, 2006-12-26 23:45.I have been out of town for christmas and therefore haven't been able to make sure the lights were working. I was informed by a friend that they were not on, on christmas eve. I am going to be checking them tommorow, wednesday, hopefully if you came by and missed them you can come back again.
They worked flawlessly between thanksgiving and then so I assumed leaving them would be safe, I guess this is what I get for assuming things.
Thanks for Chocolate
Submitted by robogeek on Wed, 2006-12-20 23:31.Thank you everyone for coming by I have talked to many of you in the past few nights.
One couple in particular stands out in my mind and this is the only way I know of contacting them. This thank you goes out to the Lady in the Red Santa dress and her husband, who we I saw at the MWS Christmas Concert last Thursday. Thanks for the Chocolate. The gift was unexpected to say the least.
Again, Thanks to everyone who has stopped by to see the lights. I Hope you enjoyed it.
In The News
Submitted by robogeek on Sat, 2006-12-09 22:35.The Florida Today, a local newspaper, has written a story on my lights. The link to the story is here. I feel honored to be featured here I hope I get more people coming to see my Lights now. I have had about 3 cars of students from a local technical college s come by tonight since the story has been posted on the website. The students have said watching the lights is a welcome study break from their finals.
The story will print in the Wednesday Dec, 13th paper, according to the newspaper photographer that came by to take some pics.
In the meantime, those of you who find this via the Florida today website, come by and enjoy the lights. If I happen to be home, I might come out and say hi, so don't be surprised.
